Gascoyne Alliance supporting regional businesses
August 5-8th
Focusing to improve our services within WA regional areas - we discussed current issues and concerns with businesses and government organisations in the Gascoyne region. This led to planning initiatives to provide a portfolio of programs to deal with those issues.
This region known as the food bowl provides nearly 40% of produce to feed Perth. Organised by the Chambers Regional lead Marilyn Rulyancich, the multi day event was a great showcase of our community and products and services.
Great to discuss and meet with Shire of Carnarvon CEO Ms Andrea Selvey and some of her executive team. We discussed our goals and future planning for us to improve certain capabilities.

Ivan and Marko Borich - took us on a tour of their amazing plantations and future smarter agriculture facilities.
Zeljko Borich came here over 30 years ago - now with his sons Ivan and Marko showed us their property, one of the largest corn growers in Carnarvon. As well as outstanding capsicums, blitva, eggplant and tomatoes.

Vinko and Matija Durmanich local grape growers - discussed their journey.
We met with Vince Catania MLA North West Central – discussed the region and future opportunities.
Great menu with local chefs using local produce.
Proud for the chamber to get a mention as well as having local industry discussions with the Hon MLC Alannah MacTiernan.
