International Women's Day

The WA Croatian Chamber of Commerce celebrated International Women’s Day at the WA Croatian Community Centre North Fremantle.


Remarkable women sharing their life stories and amazing insights. 


Alanah Yukich is an Australian 400 metres hurdles athlete who represented Australia at the Paris 2024 Olympic Games, achieving a personal best of 55.11 seconds. 

 Josephine Tomic is an Australian cyclist who secured three gold medals at the 2007 World Junior Championships and was awarded a Sport Australia Hall of Fame Scholarship in 2008 as well as competing in the 2008, 2012: London 2012 Olympic Games, top 10 in the Team Pursuit.

 Dina Levačić is a Croatian open water swimmer who, in 2023, was named the World Open Water Swimming Association's Swimmer of the Year and became the first Croatian woman inducted into the International Marathon Swimming Hall of Fame in 2024. Competed in the Rottnest Swim last week, then went to Tasmania for the Derwent River marathon.

Fran Roberts Vice President of the WA Croatian Chamber of Commerce and WA Board member of the Aus-NZ Croatian Women in Leadership, spoke about the year in review and the importance of International Women’s Day.

This year  International Women’s Day celebration theme is accelerate action. 

All the presenters made the breakfast truly inspiring and memorable.
