A Celebration of Croatian Music, Dance & Song

 Saturday 8th June 2019 at the Octagon Theatre - University of Western Australia, Perth.

  • This inaugural folkloric event has been created to unify groups across the nation to showcase our wonderful culture to the wider community. Perth was proud to host this first concert with the announcement that HFS Lenek Adelaide will be hosting in 2020. 
  • The Croatian Ambassador to Australia Betty Pavelich Sirois attended from Canberra and Zoran Sangut from the Perth Consul, including the Mayor Logan Howlett, JP City of Cockburn. Father Nikola Cabraja - St Anne's Croatian Catholic Church & the Western Australian Croatian Chamber of Commerce also supported this inaugural event with Anthony Radich hosting and performing.
  • Performances from Klapa Kaliterna (WA), Hrvatska Folklorna Grupa Zagreb (WA), Hrvatsko Kultorno Umjetnicko Drustvo Lado Geelong (Vic), Koleda Croatian Folkloric Ensemble (NSW), Hrvatski Folklorni Sastev Lenek Adelaid (SA), Branko Lovrinov (SA) & Nada Bagaric (NSW)
Luke Jurcevic President of the Western Australian Croatian Chamber of Commerce said "this was an amazing and incredible performance of Croatian music, song & dance. Congratulations to everyone at Lado Croatian Folkloric Ensemble of Western Australia for outstanding and incredibly creative performances, heart and tear felt spectacular promoting Croatian culture!"
After the performance, dinner was held at the WA Croatian Community Centre where the performers sang a very special song to the Ambassador.
An amazing event by the Lado Croatian Folkloric Ensemble of WA with recognition to the whole committee team including Darlene Gianoli and the president Glen Svilicich.
